What’s new at Malaysia Autoshow 2023?

It’s been 3 years since the Malaysia Autoshow was held, before the pandemic began. This year’s edition bring back the Autoshow, but with new twists to continuously bring back latest offerings of the country’s automotive sector. Here are some new additions to the Malaysia Autoshow 2023, and why you should get excited about coming to MAEPS this 4th to 7th May!

1. Malaysia Autoshow 2023 expands its scope to include more vehicle types

This year’s Autoshow is the sixth edition, organised by the organised by the Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii) – will not only feature the latest cars and automotive exhibitions, but also expand its scope to include motorcycles, electric vehicles and relevant technologies.

“The Autoshow is inclusive for an even bigger demographic of the automotive sectors – those who enjoy two-wheelers, those who are considering a switch to the electric lifestyle, and the tech-savvy commuter who wants to know more about the future of the automotive sector”, said MARii Chairman, Datuk Phang Ah Tong during the Malaysia Autoshow 2023 launch back in February.

2. There are 3 new sub-events under Malaysia Autoshow 2023

The Autoshow also returns with new feature additions – the Malaysia Bike Show, Malaysia EV Show and Charged.

Hall A will continue its tradition of showcasing the latest vehicles on offer in Malaysia including the newest Energy Efficient Models. More than 100 car models from OEMs are expected to be on display. Visitors will also be offered special packages and deals, as well as special finance packages through its bank partner at the show.

Meanwhile, Hall C will feature the Malaysia Bike Show, showcasing the breadth of 2-wheeler lifestyle – from Sports Bikes to Trail Dirt Bikes. Meanwhile, Hall D will host the Malaysia EV Show and Charged, focusing on the various types of electric vehicles, vehicle charging technology, as well as accessories, parts and digital applications that make up the EV ecosystem.

3. There are various activities for petrolheads and also the entire family

The Autoshow will also take full advantage of the MAEPS outdoor areas and terrain, and will feature various automotive and lifestyle activities, including:

  • Two 4.5km test drive routes (extended from last Autoshow’s 3km route) to further allow show visitors to fully experience the cars tested.
  • A test ride circuit to test latest 2-wheeler models
  • A dedicated Premium Hall to showcase and highlight the best technology the market has to offer from the premium segment. The Premium Hall will also host the Auto Fashion showcase for invited guests.
  • More than 100 models and variants of energy efficient vehicles, motorcycles, and electric vehicles on display at the exhibition halls
  • Food trucks at the Malaysia Autoshow Auto Village
  • Fun-filled activities for the entire family at the AutoFest, including a concert featuring top artists, international dance invitationals, cosplay activities and many more.
  • A dedicated vehicle accessories showcase in Hall B
  • and many more

4. The Malaysia Autoshow 2023 test route is longer than previous years

This year’s Autoshow test drive route spans 4.5km, extended from 3km in previous years. This would allow a visitors to truly feel the performance and technology of more than 120 models and variants exhibited at the show.

4. Autofest – a lifestyle event for all visitors

The Malaysia Autoshow 2023 AutoFest brings a new dimension to the Autoshow, with fun-filled activities for the entire family. More than 100 activity booths and stalls will fill the AutoFest, complementing the various automotive-themed shows and activities such as simulators, virtual reality, e-sports, fire dancers, flea markets and 80 food trucks. In conjunction with the Raya season, the Autofest will also collaborate with the SoundValley Festival 2023, a concert featuring Malaysia’s top artistes such as Aina Abdul, XPDC, and many more.

5. Lowest interest rates and instant loan approval from participating banks

6. Autoshow entrance ticket prices have been reduced by 25% compared to previous years

Malaysia Autoshow 2023 offers its lowest every prices for entrance to the show. Ticket prices are offered at only RM15 for Malaysian adults (compared to RM20 in 2019), while certain groups may enter for FREE. Here is the complete price list to enter the Autoshow:

Ticket prices:

  • Malaysian Citizens aged between 10 and 59 years: RM15/person
  • Non-Malaysians aged between 10 and 59 years: RM25/person
  • All Children below 10 – FREE
  • All Visitors aged 60 and above – FREE
  • All Persons with Disabilities – FREE
