LONGER TEST ROUTES AT MAS 2024 – 15KM LONGER!
One of the key reasons the Malaysia Autoshow has been held in MAEPS Serdang (since 2017, actually) is the test routes. The grounds of MAEPS, full of twisting roads and lanes in and out of the halls, make it a perfect place to test drive the cars you intent to buy on a further road, at speeds that allow you to better judge ride, handling, comfort etc. Here’s what we mean: The test drives have always been a big hit, and this year we are going to make it even longer – 18kms long in total! Apart from the current 4.5km test route in MAEPS, certain vehicle models (particularly those with higher engine capacities) would be test driven from alternate routes. There are 2 such routes, encompassing a drive around the mall, and the adjacent SKVE before making a turn back to base. The three routes combined make the Malaysia

In just a few short years, the Malaysia Autoshow has transformed to emerge as an expansive showcase of the country’s automotive prowess. Let’s take a journey through the evolution of this remarkable event. 2015: The ASEAN Autoshow Debut In 2015, Malaysia, as the chair of the ASEAN, proudly hosted the event at the Mines International Exhibition & Convention Centre. Dubbed the ASEAN Autoshow, the event in November featured an offroad demonstration track and showcased the classic car collection of HRH Sultan of Selangor. 2016: A Shift in Identity The following year, the event underwent a rebranding, becoming the Malaysia Autoshow. Held again at the Mines International Exhibition & Convention Centre, the 2016 edition made a mark by introducing electric cars and buses for the first time, with over 60 models on display. 2017: New Venue, New Heights In a significant move, the Autoshow relocated to the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park
MALAYSIA AUTOSHOW RETURNS IN MAY 2024
KUALA LUMPUR, 12 DECEMBER 2023 – The Malaysia Autoshow 2024 (MAS 2024) will open its doors once again this 22nd to 26th May 2024, at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS), Minister of Investment, Trade, and Industry, YB Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, officiated the event’s soft launch today. The Autoshow’s seventh edition – organised by the Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii) – continues the tradition of showcasing the latest vehicles on the market, for both Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and Electric Vehicles (EV) alike, more brands will be highlighted with an expansion from 30,000 square meter to an impressive 40,000 square meters of exhibition space.
